CRABTREE LARGE NATURAL ALABASTER QUATREFOIL TABLE LAMP
The base alone tells the story — natural alabaster cut and shaped into a quatrefoil form, each lobe catching light differently depending on the hour and angle. This is the kind of base that makes you look twice. The alabaster table lamp carries the quiet geological beauty of real stone — no two pieces identical, every surface slightly translucent, warm, and alive in a way that manufactured materials simply cannot replicate. Designed by Regina Andrew, it stands at a commanding 32½ inches tall and was built for rooms that take their interiors seriously.
Elegant Design Details
The quatrefoil silhouette is architectural by nature — a four-lobed form with deep roots in Gothic and Renaissance decorative tradition. Here it’s executed in genuine alabaster, which means the stone’s organic veining and tonal variation become part of the design itself. No two lamps look exactly alike; variations in color are inherent to the material and part of its appeal. The natural alabaster finish is unfussy and uncoated, letting the stone speak without interference. A linen shade with a fabric liner adds softness at the top, while a brass ball finial provides a polished, deliberate finishing touch. The overall profile sits confidently between classical and contemporary — equally at home in a Georgian drawing room or a clean-lined modern interior.
Soft, Ambient Illumination
Alabaster has long been prized in lighting for one reason above all others: its translucency. When lit, the stone warms and glows in a way that feels almost organic, drawing out the natural depth and patterning of every surface. The linen shade with its fabric liner diffuses light downward in a soft, even wash — no harsh pools, no glare. The lamp accepts one maximum 150-watt standard base type A 3-way bulb, giving you precise control over light levels through the 3-way cast-shell, cast turn-knob switch. Warm and layered at every setting.
Size & Functional Features
At 32½ inches high and 18 inches wide, this lamp has the visual weight to anchor a large console, an oversized bedside table, or a statement side table in a living room. The base measures 5½ inches wide for a stable footprint, and the shade spans 16 inches across the top, 18 inches across the bottom, with an 11-inch slant — proportioned to balance the substantial base beneath it. An 8½-inch harp supports the shade at the correct height. The lamp ships with an 8-foot 18/2 SPT-2 clear French wired style cord with a polarized molded plug — a considered detail that keeps the presentation clean from base to outlet. Bulb not included.
