Description
FRENCH CARVED TABLE LAMPS
Carved wood bases with a dark, textured finish give these vintage table lamps their strong tactile presence — a pair of 1970s French pieces with vertical carved detailing, new electrical fittings, and fresh cylindrical linen shades. Understated, well-proportioned, and genuinely timeless.
Carved Base & Surface Texture
The vertical carved pattern running the length of each base creates depth and shadow that shifts with the light. The dark finish enhances the texture, giving each lamp a sculptural weight that reads beautifully from across a room.
Shade Design & Light Quality
New cylindrical linen shades sit cleanly atop each base, softening and diffusing light evenly. Their simplicity is deliberate — they balance the visual complexity of the carved bases without competing with them.
Vintage Provenance & Condition
These lamps date from 1970s France and arrive in excellent vintage condition, fully rewired with new electrical fittings. They carry the quiet confidence of well-made period pieces — no restoration compromise, just honest age and quality.
Pairing & Placement
Sold as a set of two, they’re natural companions for a console, dresser, or either side of a bed. They suit modern, vintage, and transitional interiors equally — warm in tone, refined in character.
