Description
HIGH CERAMIC VASE TABLE LAMP
Lead with the material: earth-toned ceramic, finished in layered hues of brown that recall hand-thrown pottery at its most considered. The Kellen ceramic vase table lamp by Forty West brings a rustic, organic sensibility to accent lighting without sacrificing the kind of proportion and polish that allows a piece to move between casual and semi-formal spaces with equal ease. At 28 inches tall with a substantial 9½-inch wide base, this lamp is built to anchor — a sideboard, a console, a bedroom dresser, or a living room accent table. The brown-toned ceramic body carries the warmth of earth-inspired pottery, and a clean white fabric shade sits above it in deliberate contrast, neutral enough to let the base do the talking.
Elegant Design Details
The Kellen’s ceramic body is its defining feature — a traditional vase silhouette rendered in hues of brown that shift subtly across the surface, evoking the tonal variation of hand-glazed studio pottery. Forty West designed the Kellen collection around the idea that rustic materials can be refined through proportion and restraint, and this lamp is a clear expression of that philosophy. The base rises 13½ inches and stretches 9½ inches wide, giving the ceramic form enough presence to read as sculptural rather than merely functional. A 3-way on-off socket switch is positioned on the neck — accessible without reaching beneath the shade — and a 7-foot cord provides generous placement flexibility across a range of room configurations.
Soft, Ambient Illumination
The white fabric shade spans 10 inches at the top and 18 inches at the bottom, tapering outward to distribute light broadly across its 11-inch height. White fabric as a shade material transmits light cleanly and evenly, producing a warm, diffused glow that fills a room with ambient illumination rather than directing it at a single point. The shade bottom sits 15 inches above the tabletop, positioning the light output at a height well suited to seated living spaces and bedroom environments where soft, layered lighting is most effective. A 3-way socket switch allows for three distinct brightness levels, adapting the lamp from full output to low evening ambience without additional dimmer hardware.
Size & Functional Features
The Kellen stands 28 inches tall overall, with a base measuring 13½ inches high and 9½ inches wide — substantial proportions that give this lamp a commanding presence on larger accent surfaces. The white fabric shade measures 10 inches wide at the top, 18 inches at the bottom, and 11 inches high, with the shade bottom positioned 15 inches from the tabletop. One maximum 100-watt standard medium-base 3-way bulb is required, sold separately. The 7-foot cord provides ample reach, and the 3-way on-off socket switch on the neck keeps brightness control intuitive and accessible. Best suited to casual and semi-formal interiors with rustic, traditional, farmhouse, or earth-toned design themes.
