Description
White and Gold Floor Lamp, Velvet Band Design
This white and gold floor lamp wraps a plush velvet band around its structure, from which curved light gold metal branches extend outward to hold frosted glass diffusers.
About This White and Gold Velvet Floor Lamp
The white velvet band gives the fixture a genuinely soft, tactile presence against the smooth, reflective light gold branches – a considered contrast between fabric and metal rather than a single uniform material.
Multiple curved branches extend from the velvet-wrapped structure, each ending in a frosted glass diffuser that softens the light into a warm, even glow rather than a harsh point source. The design is dimmable and handmade.
It sits within our Floor Lamps collection, alongside other genuinely considered lighting like our Gold Floor Lamp – both chosen because the fixture’s material contrast carries real design intention.
As a velvet floor lamp, its soft fabric band is a genuinely unusual material choice for a light fixture’s structure, adding warmth that a purely metal design wouldn’t have.
Wrapping a structural fabric band around a light fixture is a genuinely uncommon construction choice – velvet isn’t typically load-bearing or structural in furniture design, so integrating it as a core visual element of the lamp’s silhouette, rather than just a shade material, takes real consideration in how the fabric is mounted and finished to hold its shape over years of use.
The curved branches extending from the velvet band are shaped individually by hand, each one bent to a precise angle so the overall composition reads as balanced and intentional rather than randomly arranged. That level of hand-finishing is part of what separates this piece from a mass-produced multi-arm lamp.

Styling a White and Gold Velvet Floor Lamp
Place it in a living room or bedroom corner where its soft velvet texture and warm gold branches can genuinely be appreciated up close. As a white and gold floor lamp, it suits a room built around a light, elegant palette with a touch of glamour rather than a stark industrial look. Pair it with other soft textures – linen, wool, brushed metals – so the velvet band has a natural material conversation partner nearby.
Why It’s Worth It
Every white and gold floor lamp in the Exotic Decor USA collection is globally sourced from independent artisans, then inspected for quality before it ships, backed by free shipping across the US. What stands in your room is a genuinely handmade piece with real velvet and precisely curved metal branches, not a mass-produced imitation with a thin, synthetic-feeling fabric wrap.
A white and gold floor lamp that pairs the warmth of velvet with the polish of gold in a genuinely considered contrast.
